From barn to part of a Norwegian fintech group

It started with five friends building websites in a barn in Götene. Now Stacc Farm is part of the Norwegian fintech group Stacc and new opportunities have opened up for the company.

Digital payment services are present in our everyday lives and make our lives easier in many ways, but despite this, the fintech industry is a bit of a doldrums, at least compared to the well-known gaming industry, which many people associate Skövde with. But the fact is that it was fintech that was part of the start of the development of the tech industry in Skövde. Today, there are several companies in the city that have customers all over the world.

- A proof that we are good at what we do here in Skövde is that when we are out on customer visits in the Nordic region, we often hear "Oh, are you also from Skövde?". Skövde is so strongly associated with fintech, says Roderick Hristov, CEO of Stacc Farm. Well played, Skövde!

The development plan gained extra momentum

When Stacc Farm finished their new five-year plan, they were determined to work hard to get where they wanted to go. A week later, they were contacted by Norwegian Stacc.

- The acquisition allowed us to move forward much faster," says Roderick Hristov, CEO of Stacc Farm.

The acquisition of Stacc Farm is fully in line with Stacc's growth plan in the Nordic market.

- Already on our first visit to Skövde, we were impressed by the municipality's planned efforts to develop Skövde Science Park and the surrounding area. Skövde is an exciting city in rapid development with many good technology environments and a lot of expertise. Stacc Farm has a strong competence within our investment areas and the team in Skövde is the perfect start for our Swedish expansion, says Henna Raknes, CEO at Stacc.
