The Sweden Game Conference is back in a new format 

Sweden Game Conference is back on October 13-14 at Skövde Kulturhus with the aim of bringing the Swedish games industry together.  

Under the theme Strengthening the Swedish Games Industry, Sweden Game Conference invites participants from all corners of the games industry, politicians and representatives from the Swedish innovation system to discuss this year's theme.  

For the first time ever, the academia within games also gathers in Skövde during the Sweden Game Conference, in collaboration with the Swedish Game Research Council, the University of Skövde and Science Park Skövde. Eight Swedish universities will discuss pedagogy and educational issues in games.

The game project of the future is pitched

Like previous years, aspiring and professional game developers and startups are also welcome to the conference. There, they can meet recruiting local game studios at Recruitment Fair, have their portfolios reviewed by professional game developers, see game studios from all over Sweden showcase their games in the expo Indiecator, and take part in interesting panels and talks. In addition, selected game studios will pitch their latest projects to a panel of investors and publishers that will contribute to the Swedish game wonder during the Sweden Game Pitch. 

innovation Collaboration. Experimentation. These are the key words for the annual Global Game Jam (GGJ), which this year takes place on January 24. The GGJ is the world's largest game development event, bringing together tens of thousands of participants from over 100 countries. Over 48 intense hours, participants create a game around a secret theme.
