Language & fika is a relaxed gathering where we combine language practice with Swedish fika culture. With a cup of coffee or tea in hand, we practice speaking Swedish and get to know each other in a welcoming environment. Perfect for anyone who wants to improve their language skills and meet new people.

March 26, 12 pm - 1 pm. Skövde Art Museum at Skövde Cultural Center
Address: Trädgårdsgatan 9, 541 30, Skövde. Theme: Art exhibition. Staff from the art museum gives a presentation of the new exhibitions at the museum. Afterwards, the participants will discuss their thoughts and reflections in small groups.

April 30, 12 pm - 1 pm. Skövde Art Museum at Skövde Cultural Center
Address: Trädgårdsgatan 9, 541 30, Skövde. Tema: Identity. We are creating an interactive art workshop with the theme identity. The activity begins with participants answering three simple questions: 1. Where do I come from? 2. What are my interests? 3. How do I define my identity? (Example: a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, artist, environmentalist, food lover, etc.) Afterwards, participants introduce themselves in Swedish based on their answers. Then, they will create a self-portrait using a technique of their choice, such as drawing, collage, clay, or masks.
May 28, 12 pm - 1 pm. Skövde Art Museum at Skövde Cultural Center
Address: Trädgårdsgatan 9, 541 30, Skövde. Theme: Walk and talk in a spring environment. We are organizing a guided walk where we visit artwork at the adult education center or outdoor sculptures. Afterwards, we discuss the participants’ impressions and reflections on the pieces. This is a perfect way to combine language practice, art, and the lovely spring atmosphere.
