Gaming event Consolidate comes to Skövde

On March 28-29, the gaming event Consolidate will be held in Valhall at Skövde Kulturhus. For two days, from 14.00 - 20.00, the public is invited to a free event where visitors can experience gaming and gaming culture in all its forms.

Consolidate is an inclusive event for the whole family, with the aim of making gaming and digital culture accessible to everyone, regardless of previous experience or financial circumstances. The event is completely free and requires no pre-registration.

During the weekend, visitors will be able to try out console and computer games, check out the latest hardware, play role-playing and board games, experience cosplay and listen to lectures. By bringing together different parts of the gaming culture in one place, the organizers want to create a meeting place for community, curiosity and learning.

It is no coincidence that the event is being organized in Skövde. The city has long been an important place for game development in Sweden.

"Gaming is a natural part of Skövde's culture. By bringing Consolidate here, we want to create an open meeting place where everyone can try out, be inspired and have fun together," says Katarina Blad, Event Manager, Next Skövde.

Behind the initiative is Druidz E-sport Sweden, which works to give more people the opportunity to discover gaming and gaming culture.

"We want everyone to have the chance to discover the world of games and feel the community that exists within the gaming culture," says Rebecka, communicator at Druidz E-sport Sweden.
