The much-loved heart that lit up Kulturhustorget during the winter in connection with the City of Light has now been given new life. Just in time for Valentine's Day, the heart has landed on Hertig Johans torg, ready to spread love, warmth and joy.

During the City of Light, the heart quickly became a popular place for meetings, pictures and greetings to loved ones. Now the journey through Skövde continues, with the ambition that the installation will live on throughout the year and appear in different places in the city.

"The heart is a symbol of warmth, caring and community, and a place where we can stop, take a picture and pass on some love," says Emma Edqvist, destination developer at Skövde Citysamverkan/Next Skövde.

Hjärtat is owned by Skövde municipality and is part of the Skövde place brand. The pattern that characterizes the installation symbolizes that we are building Skövde together. In a playful way, it shows that there is always a vacant place, for new residents, forces, abilities, innovations and visitors. A heart that reminds us that Skövde is a place where everyone has a place.

"The heart is part of our joint work to strengthen Skövde as a welcoming city where we meet and enjoy being together. It ties in with our keywords Connect, Explore, Enjoy, and is a simple invitation to stop, take a selfie and send some love to someone you care about", says Evalena Öman, City Gardener in Skövde Municipality.
