Releasing games together with Konami - Here is Studio Far Out Games

From the start at Yrgo in Gothenburg, things have moved quickly for Studio Far Out Games.

A successful pitch meeting in San Francisco led to a contract with the giant Konami. Together they have now announced the much-hyped game Deliver At All Costs.

- The future looks bright for us," says the company's CEO Lars Olsson.

It all started at Yrgo University of Applied Sciences in Gothenburg in 2021, where a group of classmates met during a school project, which led to a lot of attention in the press and among game publishers.
Subsequently, the company Studio Far Out Games was started, which quite early became part of Sweden Game Startup.

- It was a good catalyst for us to move forward at a good pace. Not least the support with the opportunity to make important contacts in the industry, says Studio Far Out Games CEO, Lars Olsson.

Sweden Game Pitch paid off

Already during the first year of the startup program, Far Out Games had the honor of going to the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in the spring of 2022. On site, Sweden Game Arena arranged the coveted event Sweden Game Pitch, where Far Out Games pitched their game idea and already then got in touch with the legendary game publisher Konami.

After a successful pitch and subsequent talks, they signed a publishing contract with the Japanese gaming giant. After two more years of work in the startup program with the game, they moved out this spring.

In September this year, they were finally able to announce their big collaboration with Konami and bring it to the public. It started with a pitch in the US, now all the world's gaming media wrote about their new collaboration.

- It was a fantastic experience to finally talk about what we have been so consumed with for years. The cooperation between us has gone really well. This is partly because we have done such a good job of delivering high quality at the various milestones along the way. We have over-delivered every time, which has given Konami more and more confidence in us," says Lars Olsson.

Deliver At All Costs - the game on many lips

In the context of their game together with Konami, Deliver At All Costs, was announced, all the major gaming media had the chance to sample the first 90 minutes of the game at a reveal event in London.

Since then, the reviews have been pouring in, and there are no dozens of reviews written. Media such as Screenrant, PC Gamer and Gamereactor have all praised the game. And they've done it well.

- We feel that the reception could not have been better so far. At the same time as our game was announced, Konami also showed off the new Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill games, and no offense to them in any way, but several of the gaming journalists wrote that our game was the experience that stuck in their minds the most. We were totally wowed and have high hopes to spread this joy to all gamers out there when the game is released!

Tell us a bit more about the game, what is Deliver At All Costs about?

- It's a crazy game where we built a world that is very dynamic and interactive. Anything in the game world can be destroyed and driven over, including buildings and other large structures. The main character is Winston Green, who has gone from studying engineering to driving a delivery truck. The further the game goes, the more you learn about his mysterious past.

With a game in the works with one of the world's largest gaming companies, and promising reviews from gaming media of the same caliber, there is no doubt that an exciting future lies ahead for Studio Far Out Games.

We have lots of wild and exciting ideas and projects for the future. However, nothing is decided or official yet, so stay tuned to our website if you are interested. You can check out the trailer and pre-order a physical copy of the game right now if you want.

Bright future for close-knit gang

Lars Olsson concludes:
- The future looks bright for us. Today, we have 13 employees and we have become a really close-knit and coordinated group. We encourage each other in a good way and don't settle for "just enough".
