A Pitch at the Gym Turned Into a Hit - More Than 2,5 Million Copies Sold In Just Two Weeks

A pitch between colleagues during a gym session. An idea sparked over lunch, followed by a week of intense Game Jam. After the summer holidays, the team presented the game to the rest of the studio.

Eight weeks later, on October 21, the RV There Yet? launched on Steam. Just over two weeks later, more than 2,5 million copies had been sold.

Over the past 20 years, Skövde has built an impressive ecosystem for game development. From education and research to startups and established studios delivering hit after hit — all gathered under the same umbrella, Sweden Game Arena.

It was from this creative melting pot that Nuggets Entertainment was founded nearly three years ago.

- After the launch of Satisfactory, developed by Coffee Stain Studios, my colleague Kristoffer Andersson and I felt it was time to start making our own games. We decided to leave Coffee Stain and focus on developing our own ideas,” says Tim Badylak, CEO of Nuggets Entertainment.rtainment.

Investor and Co-owner

The duo founded the studio in 2022 and began developing Among the Wild.

- They realized they needed some help, and I got the chance to test the game at an early stage in 2023,” says Stefan Hanna, who was CEO of Coffee Stain Studios at the time.

That playtest became the starting point for a fruitful collaboration. Stefan Hanna joined the company as both investor and co-owner, alongside Tim Badylak and Kristoffer Andersson.

- But Stefan is also part of the team, he is a programmer at heart," Badylak adds.

Until the summer of 2025, the focus was on developing Among the Wild. But the playable prototype of RV There Yet? appeared, everything changed.

Perfectly Timed

The studio’s philosophy is simple — have fun making games. Everyone contributes ideas and takes part in development, beyond the stereotypical roles of programmer or artist.

- We had a joint meeting about RV There Yet? in late summer and decided to invest in the game," says Hanna and Badylak adds:

- This kind of friends co-op game is right on trend, and it felt like the perfect idea for a fast-paced development cycle,” adds Badylak.

And quickly it went. In just eight weeks, the PC game was completed and released on Steam. A little over a week later, it had sold more than two million copies.

-The launch went surprisingly smoothly. And we weren’t even all in the same place — the team was spread across the world, in New York, Tenerife and Japan,” says Hanna.

Experience and Expertise That Matter

While the possibility of a hit was discussed, no one expected such success. The plan had always been to continue focusing on Among the Wild.

- We’re a completely independent team, deciding for ourselves how we develop our games. We’ve collectively agreed to keep exploring RV There Yet? and thus put Among the Wild on hold for now. Our team has extensive experience from working on a major success before as many of us were part of the journey with Goat Simulator. We know what it takes and how to move forward

- At the same time, it’s important to keep things fun and preserve that energy within the team while also building a strong, sustainable company, Badylak concludes.

About the Game

RV There Yet? is a friends co-op game where four players must work together to get their RV home after a holiday trip. It sounds simple, but quickly turns into a wild adventure full of obstacles, chaos, and unexpected physics. Coffee, cigarettes, and the laws of physics are three crucial elements that clearly resonate with players.

Marta and Santiago moved to Skövde a year ago to study industrial engineering with a minor in automation. Thanks to the close collaboration between industry and academia in Skövde, they got an opportunity to put their knowledge to test. The two of them carried out a thesis project at Elektroautomatik, an automation integrator founded right here in Skövde. The success of their project led to a summer employment, giving them a chance to connect, explore and enjoy Skövde a little longer.
